Hi all! Well it's only been 7 months since my last blog, so thought it was about time to update, oops.
So the past few months have been really good. We've had a guy called Marco Diep (cousin of Veronica, for those that know her) from Mexico with us for the past 9 months. He's been an incredible help to all of us as a church plant here, serving in many many ways, too many to list to be honest. Sadly, he's going the end of this month back to Mexico so we'll miss him a lot. But before he goes, he wanted to travel and see a bit of England too so during August, I brought him with me for a visit which was great fun and a good opportunity for me to keep practicing my Spanish! After the week in England, I went to the US for 3 weeks, staying with Lis, my sister, and her family for about a week in San Diego before going up to Oregon for 2 weeks and having a whole family holiday together, including my parents and other sister, Lou, and her husband. It was so great being altogether again and the time went very quickly...
Anyways, since coming back to Madrid, things have been picking up very slowly. Work was pretty much impossible for almost the whole month of September, it's always a slow start teaching English. So things got pretty tight come the end of last month, but God has been faithful as always and has provided me with a lot more work again. Apart from that life is just pretty much the same, playing football at the weekends (another English guy joined my team this season so I can actually make sense of football chat/banter now!), working, socialising (reinforcing friendships made here and making new ones too) and church.
Church is very exciting at the moment! We meet as 2 small groups on Sundays, morning and evening, English and Spanish, 3 times a month with the possibility of a third group forming soon nearer the centre of the city. The other Sunday in the month we meet altogether which is great as we don't always get to see everyone that often in a given month. The other weekend we had a fantastic weekend away as a group with Guy and Heather Miller who gave us a lot of challenges, insight, teaching and encouragement and it's also great to hear of the support we have from back in England :-)

Recently, we've gotten in contact with an Apologist called Andy Wickham (English name, Spanish guy) who wants to do some stuff with us as a church plant. So this Thursday, we're having a debate night about the relevance of God in an age of science. It's a great opportunity for people here so we're hoping we get a good response of people coming along to it. Please help us by praying for it too :-) on the back of it, we're starting an Alpha course so things are really kicking off here! There's a video link too which I'll attach showing you a bit of the team and the needs that we have: http://vimeo.com/76123406
Well, that will do before this gets too long. Thank you to everyone who continues to support me out here whether it's by prayer or just by friendship. It's really good fun living in Madrid but it's a HUGE challenge too, so I really value all your support and encouragement, even if I may not always be vocal about it. And for those that do pray for me and the rest of the team, they're working and we're seeing a lot of answers! :-) Anyways, hope to hear from you all soon!

Hi all!

Once again, my level of updates has been slipping terribly. To be honest, it doesn't actually feel like it's been that long but no excuse!

Well since coming back in January, things have been going well yet again. As a church group, our 2 smaller groups are going very well. The one I don't go to had a guest a week or so ago who seemed to make some sort of commitment to God! We are currently praying for him to see if this could be a real genuine decision but if so, we may have our first convert here!! Very exciting! The group I go to has now moved itself into almost fully Spanish speaking which is brilliant. It tests and stretches us but we are doing very well I think. We've also done a few more socials which have gone really well! I am now "running" them which is good fun too. We've had a fair amount of guests but more importantly we're getting a lot of regulars so we are developing more friendships. We also seem to have found another venue to meet in once a month when we're altogether, such an answer to prayer! It's at a school much nearer to where we all live so we'll see how that goes. We ALSO have just finally launched our website www.nuevasfronterasmadrid.com - a lot of hard work went into it, from our friends in Mexico, so we hope this will now put us more out in the open. As well, we've leafleted(?) the huge university here advertising our small groups so again, we are praying that we get a response from these.
I also had the privilege of going to a prayer and fasting weekend in Portugal with Kevin and Nigel back in February which really shook my view of God -- it's brilliant! It was so good to spend a few days with all the other churches from around Portugal and Spain, to encourage one another and to lift our eyes to see a part of the bigger picture. Also, there are very exciting developments for Madrid which may happen in the next year or so perhaps? Not sure if I'm allowed to say (Kevin??) but anyways watch this space! And please keep praying! Not just coz I'm here :-) but because Madrid really can be a key to changing the future of this dark yet amazing country.
We've also been joined by a guy from Mexico by the name of Antonio -- for those who know Veronica Lovejoy, it's her cousin! He's here for a good 6 months as a part of our team then we'll see what happens :-) there is also another family who are almost on the verge of joining us here in Madrid, experiencing a few problems but are remaining amazingly so steadfast in their calling.
At the end of this week, we are all off to Portugal again for the Iberian Peninsular Conference! We are all so very excited about it. This will be the 3rd year it's happened and they've always got better and better. AND this past weekend we've had the legend that is Oscar Suarez with us. He is the pastor of a Newfrontier church in Guadalajara, Mexico. I met him 7 and a half years ago when I lived there, never expecting to see him over here where I live now! But he's an excellent teacher and we've had a great weekend with him.
Changing tack completely, the next month is going to be a little crazy for me. After the Conference next weekend, I fly to the States on the Thursday to see Lis (my sister) and my nephews and brother-in-law for a week, then see Jon Rowsell get married! Very excited for this :-) when I get back, my parents will be coming out to see me for a long weekend and then some more friends are here the week after that! So pretty crazy time, but I'm really looking forward to it.
Work is going well too, I have a lot of hours now which is keeping me very busy. God has provided me with work already for the month of July when all the academies and schools shut here. There is a slight problem but I hope it'll get sorted and I can work there as it's so very convenient and would help me LOADS. But we'll see...
Football is still enjoyable, when it isn't cancelled! Nothing to do with the weather, Spaniards just don't like playing when it's holiday! I have met some great people in my team and I hope they can develop into good friendships. Talking of football, my incredibly generous Spanish mate GAVE me his ticket for Real Madrid against Man United at the Bernabeu last month! It was the biggest game I've ever been to in my life and it was an amazing experience! Here's a pic :-)

Even better when you're the only united fan amongst thousands!!

I did treat my friend to a curry afterwards, though it was only fair?! And in the process, I've finally found a place that does a decent curry!
Oh and I know it's been freezing in England but it's not been all sunny and warm here either. I knew it got cold but this year it's been snowing more than ever, which has been great! So, if you do want to come here to visit, make sure you time it well, although it is (finally) getting a bit warmer again. Can't wait for summer! Anyways, here's a couple of photos of some snow while walking to work one morning.

Anyways, this is getting pretty long ago so I'll sign off now. Thank you all so much for your continued support. I don't think I'll ever have enough words to thank you or I'm not sure you'll ever know fully the results of your commitment but I guarantee that we feel it here and, although it's very hard at times, God continues to be amazing with us, which, as far as I'm concerned, is largely due to you.
Some prayer pointers:
  • Fundamentally, we want to see Spanish Christians here. Please pray that we encounter key people who will really take this church plant to a new level. We are hungry to see people's lives here changed.
  • Pray for our new "potential" venue that this is where we should be and that we get it for a good rental rate! :-)
  • Pray for us as a team, some of us are going through some real battles here and in England. We want to serve the community here with all we have and to demonstrate God's glory to them.
Thanks for reading this far if you've managed to. And please stay in contact, I'll try doing the same but better this time! Don't underestimate the power of a simple word. It does wonders to encourage those who are feeling right out in open warfare :-)

Thursday, 22 November 2012

Hello everyone!

Thought it was about time to update the blog again! And it shouldn't be so bad as I've only taken 2 months before writing again this time!

Well after what seemed like an eternal summer, the past 2 months have flown by! The weather has definitely changed and gone are the shorts as well as apparently my tan! :-( was such a nice colour not that long ago too, ha!

Anways, thank you all for praying! Some more great answers to prayer have happened. In regards to work that has picked up dramatically and now I'm actually inundated with it all and the ridiculous thing is that I now have to be careful I don't overwork! Never seemed to be a problem before lol. But it's good, I'm meeting lots of new interesting people too! So October was pretty much just a "normal" month I guess. I've been working a lot, meeting up with people, etc. Our church group are now fully into the smaller groups. It's a bit complicated if you don't stay on top of it (but we're all great here!) but the 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month we meet in smaller groups, one in the morning the other in the evening. My group is more for the younger generation and unmarried (apart from Al and Sal). It's a real blessing to be a part of this little group and exciting to see us grow together spiritually as well as hopefully numerically. Then the 2nd Sunday of every month is a social where we want to meet up with a lot of the friends we're making here, instead of just a church group. In October, we all met up and went to a local fair which was just fun and a good opportunity of being together. This month, we held an evening where we invited all of our own personal intercambios (the people who we meet up with to practice Spanish and for them to practice English) for an intercambio evening altogether. Considering there are around 20 of us adults, even though we weren't all there, we reckon we must've had at least 20 guests come along! They had a brilliant time, it was a ridiculous success and it's now made us think that this is what we could try doing more regularly to serve the community and the people of Madrid. Finally, the 4th Sunday of every month we meet altogether in the local that we rent and they have been going well still, pretty much all in Spanish (Kevin Bartlett does an excellent job preaching every week in Spanish). This next month we are planning to do a traditional English Carol service so we're planning for that now, praying that we'll get a good turnout for that too!

I've also now joined a football team (finally!) that plays every Saturday. They are brilliant guys and very easy to get on with. I've also seemed to have fitted in very quickly with them which is a surprise to be honest considering they're a good team! And I've actually done alright, scoring more goals than I've played games which has been just as much a surprise to me as to them! I like to show Spaniards that there's nothing wrong with the English system of long ball, run and score :-)

Also, I have a really really good friend here who's been so so good to me! He went off to England for a week and gave me his Real Madrid season ticket for the game he was going to miss. But even since he's come back, I'm still to give it to him (not my choice not to!) but coz I still have it, I've been to all their home games since! And all for free, amazing! Not looking forward to giving it back lol. I'm hoping to stretch it out just a little little bit more as there are some good games coming up next! I've a feeling he may want it back before then, especially if he's reading this too :-)

Finally, just to let you know if you don't already I will be coming back for Christmas! First time in 9 months so am very excited about that. Looking forward to seeing many of you again. I know a lot of you will be away but hopefully I'll get to see some of you at some point.

Oh, sorry. For all those who are praying for us, we would love prayer for:
  • us as a church group, that we will continue having such a success with the socials we do and more importantly that we meet key people who could really open the door for us in regards to getting the Spanish people in!
  • pray that we continue getting stuck into the language and the culture here
That's probably about it for now! Thanks so much for reading all of this, if you've got this far! Hopefully see a lot of you very soon! If not, please let me know how you're doing whenever, it's always good to hear from people back home wherever that is :-)

Thursday, 27 September 2012

Hey hey one and all! Well I've finally got round to updating my blog again! Firstly, thank you to everyone who continues to support us in prayer, their results are most certainly being felt here!

Well since the last time I blogged, a fair bit has been going on. June seemed to feel like a bit of a wind down month. As the summer is long and hot here, all schools finish the end of June and don't start again until the beginning or mid-September. So I had quite a lot of teaching work around then, people wanting to finish up but then everything literally dried up to nothing! That was a fun time...lol. It wasn't that bad in the end, God was really good! I got to work at a football camp teaching English for 2 hours a day for the month of July. That was really fun, if not badly organized! I got to meet some pretty cool people in the world of Spanish football and held the real life World Cup Spain won!

Although I was only working 2 hours a day, I had a class of around 40 kids just to myself so it was a long month! At the end, I had a "relaxing" weekend in Malaga with some friends. But it was nice to get out of the city for at least a couple of days :-)

In August, both the English families (Bartletts and Whiteheads) went back to England for the month so I was here pretty much by myself! Work slowed down to an agonizing 1 or 2 hours a week but I filled my time with watching the Olympics and using the Bartlett's pool every day! I had some friends come out to see me which was fun, just did the touristy things in the city (which is almost empty during August, very strange!) and kinda chilled out lol. As beautiful as Madrid is, I wouldn't advise anyone to come out here during August though. It was very very hot and difficult to do much (apart from swim!). If that's all you want to do by all means come here but for me it's just stupid :-) but come out here any other time!

This month has been getting back to normal a little bit. Both families came back at the beginning of the month as well as (finally) the other English family -- the Capes -- who we've been waiting for for ages! It was great that everything had come together and they were eventually able to move over. So this month has been a challenge for them, two children have come over with them too so we've been working together to get them sorted out and settled as quickly as possible, especially since we all remember what the first few months here were like! English teaching has very slowly started to get going again, hopefully by next week things will all be back to normal. It's been a real testing time financially, didn't realize quite how difficult it was going to be, but God has been ridiculously faithful like normal and has always provided for me!

As for us as a group, we are now around 17/18 people including kids plus one or two others who are showing interest so we're too big to meet as a group in the Bartlett's flat. At the beginning of this month, we found a local to meet in, a little bit more in the centre of the city. It's a great space and we've tried it out a couple times now, meeting Sunday evenings altogether which have been great. As we're still at the birthing stage of all of this and not yet really wanting to launch but yet needing to do something slightly more public, we've been trying to find the right balance of what to do. After this Sunday, we are going to try meeting up as 2 small groups every week, perhaps one in Spanish and the other in English for now as English is still very much something that draws people in, then once a month use the local to meet altogether. It's something that none of us really knows how it will go but we feel it's the right step forward and the best way of growing this church plant the way God wants it to. So we'd really value your prayers especially around this :-) since moving into the local, we started doing our meetings in Spanish translated into English and every single team member has really stepped up to the plate. Kevin has done an awesome job preaching in Spanish, Al has been excellent leading worship in Spanish and everyone else has done a fantastic job translating into English! It's my turn to translate the preach into English on Sunday which, now thinking about it, I'm nervous about since everyone has been so brilliant before! No pressure :-)

As mentioned before, God has really blessed me these past few months -- well, what feels like more than normal at least! I was given a free ticket to go watch Real Madrid play a few weeks ago, thinking it was going to be a cheap seat, but still happy! Turned out to be about 10 rows from the pitch (I could shout at Ronaldo to stop being a baby loud enough for him to hear) and right next to the VIP area, so I met a couple of famous Spanish people too!

Other crazy stuff has happened which, believe it or not, feels like I just stumble into! But I know God is just being amazingly gracious to me :-) Some of my English students too are in very interesting positions which I get to talk to them about and also makes me think that if they became Christians, their world of influence would be huge!

So all in all, things are going very well! There are some major challenges to face, especially still in everyday life, but that's to be expected and to be honest is great as it's character testing and really makes you live what you believe rather than just saying it.

Prayer points:
  • Please pray for the Capes to settle in very well quickly, make friends and feel at home.
  • Please pray for us as a group that this next stage is a real fruitful time in relationships, finding people interested and that we move on into the plans that God has in store for us here.
  • For me personally, please pray that I pick up a little bit more work, still not enough yet but more importantly that God uses me in the lives of the people that I come into contact with.
Thanks loads everyone! Like I said, I really feel your support from here and your prayers are so very effective! Love you and miss you all :-)

Thursday, 17 May 2012

Hey all! Well, considering I was meant to do a monthly blog update, I haven't been doing so well...I'm sorry! A crazy amount has happened since the last time I wrote so will try to remember all that's happened, no doubt I'll forget a huge amount but I'll try! And also, feel free to drop me a message anytime you like, always good to hear from you :-)

So, I'm still alive! :-) I've gained more work which is great, almost have a full on teaching week now finally! Although I would still like a bit more if I can find it, bit harder now that my schedule is pretty fixed. But Spain does love their holidays, 2 days off a couple of weeks ago and 2 days this week! Annoying thing about that is no work for me so no money which is frustrating at times. But apart from that work is going well. I'm still in the same flat, but one of my housemates left about a month ago as he finally found work back home in Murcia, so it's a bit quieter in the flat now there's only 3 of us. I've started playing football twice a week now, on Sundays with one of my housemates in a 7 a side league which is great, and Monday nights for a kickabout with some guys. That one is a pretty late one, we only start playing at half 10 but since last week the weather has changed dramatically and it's been HOT every day so it's very nice to play late :-) I've been making more friends which is good, so my spare time is filling up very quickly. It's great coz they want to practice their English and I get to talk a lot, which I love, and most importantly, I get to talk about the church plant and more about Christianity and they listen to me!! :-) some have even shown an interest in what we're doing here so we'll see what happens with them.

As a church plant, things have been going very well. We've had a few social events which have been well attended and a great success, God is really blessing us in that.We still meet on Saturday nights which is a great time for us to grow together. I now offically "lead" the kids work although there aren't many of them so isn't as big as it sounds lol. We've had Guy and Heather Miller out here which was a brilliant weekend. At the end of March was the Iberian Peninsula Conference where all the Newfrontier churches in Portugal and Spain met in a place called Penafiel near Porto. We had a lot of leaders over from England too. That was a great conference and we all left with a real sense of God's blessing and renewal on us to impact the cities where we are. There was also a free Christian concert in a park in Madrid the other weekend organized by Kaka's (a Brazilian footballer who plays for Madrid) wife which Hillsong London were at plus other groups/artists famous in Spanish circles. So we all went there as a group which was good, only shame was the day was rainy so there weren't as many people around -- Spanish people don't seem to like the rain as much as English people do ;-)
Umm, now am struggling to think of what else has been going on...sure I've missed a load. Oh well, this is probably long enough and like I said, you can always message me and I could probably tell you more, plus I would love to know how you're doing! :-) anyways, this blog is a bit boring so will try and find some interesting pictures to put with it!

Love you and miss you loads,
Dave

I nicked this picture, but this is of some of us at the Iberian Peninsula Conference

Obviously, I'm not very good at taking photos as I nicked that one and have no others of real interest to show you! Maybe next time :-) take care!

Tuesday, 20 December 2011

Well, thought I would do a quick update blog even though, shock horror, it hasn't been a full month yet since the last. If you're still reading this and interested in my blog, thanks! :-) and I hope you're all doing well!
Things haven't been quite so crazy this month, just almost the slog of the usual week and starting to find a more general routine. Work has picked up even more, praise God! I was working Monday through to Thursday but have picked up some more private lessons which are on Fridays so finally I'm working a Monday-Friday job!! :-) does an hour on Friday constitute as a full working day?? Well, I count it as since it's been such a long time since I had a full week! So anways, work is going well. I'm still meeting up with people once or twice a week so thankfully friendships are slowly but surely building up. Our weekly church meetings are going very well too. We recently had Mike and Jess Shore over from Portugal for 10 days and they were a real blessing to us and shared so much of their wisdom and insight into church planting in the Iberian peninsula -- Mike and Jess Shore planted their church near 30 years ago!! So they came with a LOT of wisdom and experience :-) it was great.
Apart from that, not too much has been going on this month. Oh yeah, one of my housemates moved out. Thankfully, I understood (just about) that it was nothing to do with me moving in! :-) he just wanted his own place after sharing for the past 18 years...but that was a bit sad as I'd got on really well with him. But he now wants English lessons from me sometime next year so I may still see a lot of him! But for now, we're down to the 3 of us which is actually quite nice, there's more space! But hopefully someone new will be moving in in the new year.

Oh and I'm not sure I've mentioned him before but there's been this English guy called Tom living in Madrid (studying) for 3 months. He was with us right from the beginning but this morning he returned home. It's been fun hanging out with him recently -- I've done a few day trips with him, visiting a monastary in the mountains called El Escorial and going to the King's palace in Aranjuez. It's been great having him here so was a little sad to see him leave but who knows, he may be back someday -- hope you're reading this Tom! :-)
But no time to be too sad about it, coz in a few hours time I'll be heading off to the airport too to spend Christmas with my family and friends! Very much looking forward to saying hi again! Yet in a bizarre way, actually a bit sad to be leaving here. I guess coz it would be interesting to see what Christmas itself is like here. I hope they're not all like this guy who thinks you should dress up as tree...he doesn't even look Christmassy for goodness sake!

But then I'm back in Madrid for Reyes (King's Day) on the 6th of January so can't wait for that too!
Anyways, so hopefully I'll see some of you when I return later today! And for those I won't see, merry Christmas and a happy new year! :-)

Friday, 25 November 2011

Hey everyone! I'm so very sorry it's taken me so long to update the blog! It's meant to be a monthly thing at least but I realized the other day it's been way beyond a month since my first! Anyways, I'll give you a lowdown on what's been going on over here! This is a picture of me with one of my housemates Jose, very cool guy! He's the one from Andalucia who I don't really understand lol, but it's getting better! :-)

Ok, well I'm now very much settled in my flat which is cool. The guys I live with are brilliant and I have a real laugh with them, or maybe they're still laughing at me...we still, sorry I still misunderstand what they say at times which leads to very confusing and embarrassing moments -- mainly for me. Oh well, it's very humbling so must be good for me :-)

Work-wise is going pretty well now, thank you God! With private lessons, I managed to get one family with 3 kids who want 3 hours at a time (1 hour for each) twice a week! So that's 6 hours every week I'm there which is brilliant for private work, especially from just one family! The only pain is they live in the south of the city and I'm in the north-west so it takes me an hour to get there and an hour to get back every time but it's worth it for the 3 hours. So I do that every Tuesday and Thursday evening from 5.30-8.30pm. Then a funny story was that I got out the metro a month ago and this woman who must've heard me say something in english randomly approached me and asked me if I lived around the area (I was standing outside my flat at the time) and if I wanted a job! She runs this centre called the George Washington School of English (very American!) and she was desperate for more teachers and was willing to take me even with my complete lack of experience! Oh yeah, sorry I forgot to say that I've been to a few interviews for working in schools but they all say my lack of experience doesn't help so didn't get any of those jobs so someone saying to me experience didn't matter was great! Anyways, it's only part-time but it's more work! Every Monday and Wednesday I teach conversation English to 2 women at the centre from 9.30-10.30, then I go to a school and "teach" English (play games) with 4 year olds from 4.00-5.00pm, then I go to a family's house and teach two 10 year old twins conversation English for an hour then their younger 5 year old sister I have for half an hour from 6.00-7.30pm. It's a bit all over the place and sometimes difficult remembering what I have each day but I'm beginning to learn it! It's only 13 hours of work a week (still not working on Fridays) which isn't a huge amount but so much better than before -- no work at all!! So I'm extremely grateful for it and actually really enjoying it too!
Friends-wise I have met a few people now through this inter-cambio thing where you meet someone for an hour or 2 and speak half the time in Spanish and half the time in English. I regularly meet 3 of them every week and have a couple more sporadically. I wouldn't call them friends as of yet, still early days, but who knows :-) they're brilliant people and I love meeting up with them! To be honest, I would say it's actually the thing I love doing the most here. So I hope some real deep friendships can be formed this way.
In regards to church it's been a good month! We are now meeting weekly as a group, every Saturday night. We have a time of worship and a talk - going through the book of Nehemiah very slowly lol, but that's coz there's SO much in there for us to take hold of! Then we pray and then all eat together. It's really nice and feels very communal and also now that we're all getting stuck into life here and having our own lives more, it's great to catch up and see what's going on, encourage one another and grow together! Kevin has just come back from a week away in Mexico which I will hear about tomorrow but by all accounts went extremely well! It's great too coz he went to Guadalajara where most of you may remember I went to 6 years ago and lived for just under a year? So Kevin met a lot of my old friends which is brilliant yet weird at the same time...so he went to the Newfrontier led camp called Fiesta and made some good contacts over there! Reason being is that since they're a Newfrontier church in a Spanish environment, they can help us out as well as maybe send some people over?! Who knows, but it's great! Also, for the next 10 days a couple called Mike and Jess Shore are over here with us. They're a couple who started a church a very long time ago in northern Portugal and have seen it grow amazingly! I met them earlier this year when I went out to Portugal for the weekend. So they're here with us to encourage us, see how it's going and more importantly see how we're doing as they know exactly what we're going through and will experience. So it's also a great opportunity for me to grill them about anything and everything. So this weekend we're having meetings together Saturday and Sunday morning then mid-week next week as well as private time with them sometime during the week which I'm very much looking forward to then more meeting next weekend. So prayer for this time would be very much appreciated!
Sorry, this is turning into a pretty big essay! But before I finish, as jealous as I was about Kevin going off to Mexico - I've ALWAYS wanted to go back there -- I did have a pretty good time while he was gone, hee hee! My housemate Jose came back for lunch on Tuesday and asked me if I was free that night. He had been given 2 free tickets to see Real Madrid playing in the Champions League that night and did I wanna go?! Well, naturally I thought about this for a loooong time...not. So amazingly I got to go to my very first Spanish footy match and not just any match but at the Bernabeu for free! And our seats were pretty awesome and so was the game! They won 6-2 so was all good :-) the funny thing was in typical Spanish fashion we arrived 15 minutes late and had already missed 3 goals lol. But at least there were plenty more that night! Here are some of the pics I got:

So was a pretty cool night! Anyways, I'm sure that'll do for now! As a church plant, I think things are going very well. We're all getting stuck into the culture, language, friendships and work. It's very very trying at times and you feel like you're going backwards occasionally when you thought you were going forwards! But it's all a learning curve and we know whose in control :-) thankfully not us! Anyways, prayer for us would be awesome. I need more work as what I have is great but it's not enough to live on. Prayer for friendships would be cool too, that maybe the connections I've made can grow into something more. And more importantly, please pray for a great response from Kevin's trip to Mexico, either in regards to people showing an interest in moving here or that they'll just support us in any way they can!
Oh and lastly, sorry!!! I'm actually coming back for Christmas so I'll be around from the 20th of December! I know it's family time, hence why I'm coming back, but it would be great to see you and if you do want to grab me while I'm back just let me know :-) as always, I love hearing from you so stay in touch!
